Abstract
The research, documentation and interpretation of medieval and modern Romanian documents (XVth-XIXth centuries) formed the basis of pertinent genealogical studies, but also of an insight into the social and economic mechanisms relating to the ownership and division of old estates in Moldova and Wallachia.
