Abstract
The Bulgarian community, along with other local communities, brought its contribution, not to a high extent, but still not to a neglectable one, to the formation of the economic, social, political, cultural and religious life of the town of Galaţi, a port situated in a border area. The article briefly presents the Statutes of the Bulgarian Community from Galaţi, adopted in 1930, regulations ruling the life of the community during the first half of the XX-th century.
Although the Bulgarian community from Galaţi doesn’t have a troubled history, like other minoritary communities, still, its mere documentary attestation in Galaţi grants it the right to be consigned by historiography.

Rezumat
Comunitatea bulgară, alături de alte comunităţi locale, şi-a adus contribuţia, este adevărat într-o măsură mai mică, dar nu de neglijat, în conturarea vieţii economice, sociale, politice, culturale şi religioase a oraşului Galaţi, oraş port situat în zonă de frontieră. Articolul îşi propune o prezentare succintă a Statutelor Comunităţii Bulgare din Galaţi, adoptate în anul 1930, reglementări care aveau să guverneze viaţa comunităţii în prima jumătate a secolului al XX-lea.
Argumentul principal care a stat la baza realizării studiului a pornit de la premisa că, deşi comunitatea bulgară nu are o istorie tumultoasă, ca în cazul altor comunităţi, totuşi simpla atestare documentară la Galaţi, îi conferă dreptul legitim de a fi consemnată de istoriografie.
