Abstract
This article focused on some data pertaining to the funeral discoveries from Lăceni village (Teleorman County), the place called “Cioroaica“.
Three tombs belong to the Sântana de Mureş-Cerneahov culture. They were investigated during the campaign carried out under SRAP project, in 2000. The inventory is common for this period: different types of clay vessels (legged pots, bowls, dishes, cups and pots), silver and bronze fibulas, a silver buckle, blue glass and Spondylus beads.
These recent discoveries add some new information to the data acquired from the investigations of the tombs found at Olteni and Lăceni. There are also a few settlements belonging to the same culture in this area, in Lăceni, Măgura and Vităneşti. All these discoveries offer us an enriched image of Sântana de Mureş-Cerneahov culture in the South-West of Muntenia.
