Abstract
This study presents the evolution of the relations of subordination of the Romanian economy by the Red Army, after the events of 23 august 1944. The cost of the stay of Soviet troops on the Romanian territory were covered from the State budget. ’’Liberating Army’’ applied in Putna and Covurlui counties, the same economic policy of spoliation dictated by Moscow for all Eastern European territories past in the sphere of influence of Kremlin. This study is based on the combination of the sources published with the archives and demonstrates actions undertaken planning by the Soviet troops. Between august 1944 and 1947, abuses have sparked the ’liberators’ and arouse the dissatisfaction of the civilian population, and made it difficult rebuild after the war. Soviet troops have commandeered any necessary element supporting the war effort against Germany and to satisfy their own egos.
